She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Kapp and Lydia Kapp (Gohl); her former husband Elmer Hoffman; her husband Jerome Hochhalter; her siblings, Otto, Emphraim, Richard, Gertie, Gloria and Erna; and her great grandchild Laila Bruns.
She is survived by: her daughters, Marilyn Kline (Terry) of Mina and Peggy Thorpe (Jim) of Aberdeen, SD; her grandchildren, Ryan Kline (Stephanie), Eric Kline, Heather Grebner (Jason), Crystal Thorpe, Dusty Thorpe (Kassy) and Maggie Bruns (Luke); her great grandchildren, Abigail, Grace (Nathan), Adam (Sunny), Hope, Lydia Kline, Dan, Matthew (Kristen), Lilly, Joseph Grebner, Kenton, Maeve, Rayne Thorpe, Beckett, Kohen, Paxon and Boston Bruns; her stepchildren, Sheri Larson (Dan), Cal, Ken (Isabel), Vic Hochhalter and Twyla Maines (John); her stepgrandchildren, Bradley (Melinda), KC, Jenel, Bo, Kayla Hochhalter, Derek (Abbey), Andrew Larson (Nicole), Corey (Madi), Sarah and Kevin Maines; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Diana, Savanah, Jaden Hochhalter, Presley, Ember, Trent, Tyler, Tristan White, Braxton, Baylor, Parker, Owen, Madelyn Larson, Emmitt, Evelyn Maines, Addyson, Emery, Bryce and Tyelynn Hochhalter; and her sisters, Mary Layton (Viril) and Marie Geffre (Gordon).
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church (1620 Milwaukee Ave NE, Aberdeen, SD 57401). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
