He was predeceased by: his parents, John Carroll and Lillian Carroll (Knadle); his sons, Timothy Paul and Christopher John; and his wife Bernardette Anne Carroll.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Hansen of Seattle, WA, Jennifer Hubert of Aberdeen, SD, Kathleen Bergseth (Keith) of Fargo, ND, Stephanie Carroll Ferkiss (Ethan) of Seattle, WA and James Carroll of Aberdeen, SD; his grandchildren, Chelsea Barton (Brian), Carly Hubert, Caiti Hubert, Austin Carroll, Eibhleann Carroll, Finn Bergseth, Rory Bergseth and Lochlann Bergseth; his great grandchildren, Abigayle Barton, Decker Barton, Evan Barton and Finnley Barton; his brother Laurin Carroll (Rose); and his pet Louie. He is also survived by five sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, many nieces and nephews.
