Rocky R. Hartberg Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rocky R. Hartberg (Aberdeen, South Dakota), who passed away on January 26, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Rocky departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Rocky may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Rocky leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Hartberg and Ruth Hartberg (Jordanger); his siblings, Ronald, Rodney and Rita Johnson; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Zakrzewski and Arnold Zakrzewski.

He is survived by: his sister Rose Zakrzewski of Webster, SD. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery (5851 East US-12, Aberdeen, SD 57401).
