He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Smith and Joyce Smith (Gyles); and his sisters, Nancy and Connie. He is survived by: his wife June Rubert; his children, Kim Commet (Chad) and James Smith (Lisa); and his sister Kathy Morken.
