He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Ranft and Dorothy Ranft (Stewart); his wife Kathryn Kearns; his sisters, Helen Ranft and Betty Reilly; and his half-brothers, James Ranft and Doyle Sass.
He is survived by: his daughter Brenda Schmitt (Tom); and his half-siblings, Carolyn Forman, Tommy Ranft (Rose), William Ranft and LeRoy Ranft (Mary). He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
