He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton McKay and June McKay (Grandbois); his wife Linda McKay; his son Michael McKay, Jr.; his parents-in-law, Lyle and Wilma Tisher; and his siblings-in-law, Delwyn Tisher, Shirley Tisher, Beverly Tisher and Beginning.
He is survived by: his former wife Marie Schaunaman; his daughter Mallisa Hornseth (Robin); his stepsons, Erik and Dylan Hovrud; his siblings, Terry McKay (Kathy) and Nicky McKay; and his siblings-in-law, Ken Tisher (Mary), Vic Tisher (Jo Niehoff), Tim Tisher (Ruby), Polly Becker (Dick Henninger) and Shawn Carlson (Kevin). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
