She was predeceased by: her parents, Kyle Thornton and Elizabeth Thornton (Johnson); her husband Albert Sauer; her sons, Steven and Ronald; her siblings, Kyle, Richard, Wayne, Jean and Helen; and her grandson Shawn Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Diane Fischer (Ron) of Groton, SD, Chuck Sauer of Aberdeen, Debra Sauer of Aberdeen, Albert Jr. Sauer (Annette) of Eden, OK, Michael Sauer (Mindy) of Lubbock, TX and Shelly Jones (Don) of Bath, SD. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
