It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Hopper (Aberdeen, South Dakota), who passed away on May 4, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Heisinger and Lena Heisinger (Thury); her husband Ervin; her children, Larry and Pamela; and her siblings, Lawrence, Leo, Paul, Joseph Heisinger, Patricia and Regina.

She is survived by: her children, Michael Hopper (Barbara) of Aberdeen, Tom Hopper of Aberdeen and Patty Jo Ann Brungardt (Hopper) of Aberdeen; and her sisters, Mary Forney of Missouri City and Phyllis Bacon of California. She is also survived by 9 children.

“We got to know Margaret while dancing at the Eagles and elsewhere. She was just the nicest lady and always so friendly. We had our last visit with her at Walmart this past winter. She was buying some new kettles and was waiting for the transit bus. We sat and visited with her for at least a half hour. We are sorry for your loss, but we think Margaret is dancing on the streets of gold in heaven. We will miss her.”
