We are sad to announce that on January 11, 2025, at the age of 83, Lyla Rice of Aberdeen, South Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Johnson and Leah Johnson (Magnell); and her husband Verdell. She is survived by: her children, Debbie Panerio (Jim) of Aberdeen and Brian Rice (Deb) of Brandon; her grandchildren, Alex Panerio (Austin) of Peoria, AZ, Colin Panerio of St. Paul, MN, Elaina Rice of Sioux Falls and Jack Rice of Brandon; her brother Curtis Johnson (Carol) of Leesburg, FL; and her sister-in-law JoAnn Youngquist of Crookston, MN.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Alzheimer's Association of South Dakota or Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Huron.
