We are sad to announce that on October 12, 2020, at the age of 90, Lavonne Peterson of Aberdeen, South Dakota, born in Fergus Falls, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Rovang and Elma Rovang (Rubel); her husbands, Marlyn Jensen and Harold Peterson of Aberdeen; her stepson Terry Peterson; and her siblings, Winnefred Opsahl, Arlene Carlson, Wesley Rovang and Donald Rovang.
She is survived by: her children, Margaret Sumption (John) of Frederick, Marlene McGaughey (Ken) of Broken Bow, NE., Michael Jensen (Carol) of Sisseton and Marty Jensen (Val) of Britton; her stepson Tim Peterson (Charlene) of Spearfish; her stepdaughter-in-law Sandie Peterson of Rapid City; her grandchildren, Chris, Eric, Mark, Taylor, Warren Sumption, Josie Jakeway, Jennifer Beck, Amanda Roth and Courtney Paulson; her stepgrandchildren, Garret, Ryan Thompson, Justin Tchida, Sarah Vigoren, Megan Lackey, Christine Peterson, Bill Peterson, Ryan Peterson and Nikki Kachelmyer; her sister Thelma Monshaugen; her siblings-in-law, Arlette Jensen, Alfred Monshaugen, L. James Opsahl, Vernie, Carlson, Donald Jensen and Charlotte Rovang; and her nephew James Opsahl. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
