Judean Schwinger Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Judean Schwinger of Aberdeen, South Dakota, who passed away on November 26, 2021 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his brother Stanley; his stepmother Hazel Schwinger; his daughter-in-law Mary Jo Schwinger; and his great grandchildren, Joseph and John Renner.

He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Paulson; his children, Debra Burdine (David) of Sioux Falls, Danny Schwinger (Theresa Kerksiek) of Ft Smith, AR and Janell Renner of Watertown; and his grandchildren, Kristin Harkema (Kale), Heidi Sacipovic (Ned), Alisa Griffin (Nathan), Staci Rider (Brian), John Schwinger (Erin), Adam Renner (Ashley) and Alex Renner (Rachel). He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.

The National Science Foundation provided scholarships for him to attend a summer school at Augustana, one at SDSU and at Seattle University.
