It is with great sadness that we announce the death of JoAnn Williams of Aberdeen, South Dakota, born in Devils Lake, North Dakota, who passed away on November 19, 2023, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rancel Stensby and Elizabeth Stensby (Hager); and her brothers, Ronald and Wayne. She is survived by: her husband Gene Williams of Aberdeen, SD; her daughter Jessica Williams (Cory Weisbeck) of Aberdeen, SD; and her siblings, Judy Compton of Maddock, ND, Lynn Yri (Robert) of Devils Lake, ND and Patrick Stensby of Minnewaukan, ND..
In addition, JoAnn donated countless volunteer hours to the SPURS Therapeutic Riding Clinic in Aberdeen. JoAnn also donated volunteer hours to Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Aberdeen – helping serve the weekly meal the church offered for gratis on Wednesday afternoons.
