It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janis Leas of Aberdeen, South Dakota, born in Miles City, Montana, who passed away on November 8, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurine Hutchason and James Mitchelhill; and her son Ross Wayne Johnson (Rosa Maria Fortin). She is survived by: her children, Leslie Johnson Mather (Michael McGovern) of Pine Bush, NY, David Mitchelhill Johnson (Lisa Muth) of Scottsdale, AZ, Turid Buraas (Roy) of Halden and Julie Johnson of Myrtle Beach, SC; her grandchildren, Courtney, Ross (Amelia Christian), Ashby Johnson (Christina Maney), Darien (Jack Sternal), John Mather, Lizzie (Andre Price) and Garrett Johnson; her sister Jeri Riney (Charles) of Albuquerque, NM; and her great grandchild Theodore Johnson.
