He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Hanson and Rose Hanson (Lapp) of Akaska, SD.; and his brother Dennis. He is survived by: his wife Violet Jacobs of Webster, SD.; his children, Russell of Phoenix, AZ and Jamie of Mitchell, SD; his grandchildren, Amanda and Robert; and his siblings, Arlo (Marilyn Hanson) of Omaha, NE and Phyllis (Don Erickson) of Manhattan, KS.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
