She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Seppala and Ruby Seppala; her husband Randy Hopfinger; her niece Annika Nagel; and her brother-in-law Jim Belkonen.

She is survived by: her friend Karen; her children, Dr. Scott Hopfinger (Carisa) and Sara Weischedel (Wayne); her grandchildren, Hamilton Hopfinger, Corbin Hopfinger, Cadence Weischedel and Drake Weischedel; and her siblings, Jaqueline Nagel (Lon), Vicki Belkonen and Craig Seppala (Mina Bull).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Aberdeen Christian School.
