He was predeceased by: his parents, Gust Dumdei and Katie Dumdei (Holweger); his wife Delpha Schaible; and his siblings, Edgar Dumdei, Kenneth Dumdei and Leona Bollinger.

He is survived by: his children, Lori Zoutendam (Mark) and Alan Dumdei (Julie); and his siblings, Lila Bachman and Ronnie Dumdei.
