He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl C. Kruse and Lorene Kruse (Werdin); his brother Don McShane; and his brothers-in-law, Andy Van Well, Skip Fleeger, Dale Hilgemann, Reynold Rausch and Beginning.
He is survived by: his wife LaVonne Rausch of Aberdeen; his children, Brent Kruse (Kellee) of Silver Spring, MD and Lauri Finnegan (Mike) of Sioux Falls, SD; his grandchildren, Benjamin, William Finnegan, Marcus and Sarah Kruse; and his sisters, Janet Hilgemann of Aberdeen, SD and Charlene Fleeger of Rochester, MN. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Northern State University Foundation or Feeding South Dakota.
