She was predeceased by: her parents, Lieutenant James and Elsie Treece (Lanz); her former husband Terry; her siblings-in-law, John O'Keefe, Emmett O'Keefe, William O'Keefe, Janet Auble, Lynn O'Keefe and Patricia O'Keefe; and her nephew Joseph Auble.
She is survived by: her spouse Captain Terence A. O'Keefe; her children, Barbara Magera (Gregg) of Aberdeen, James O'Keefe (Shannon) of Aberdeen, Robert O'Keefe (Lori) of Mitchell and Michael O'Keefe (Michelle) of Aberdeen; her grandchildren, Katie Janssen (William) of Canton, SD, Emily Magera of Aberdeen, McKenna O'Keefe of Aberdeen, Addison O'Keefe of Aberdeen, Riley O'Keefe of Aberdeen, Jacob O'Keefe of Port Orange, FL and Thomas O'Keefe of Aberdeen; her brother James Treece (Trudy) of Omaha, NE; and her sisters-in-law, Marcia O'Keefe of Hopkins, MN, Jan Schochenmaier (Ross) of Aberdeen and JoAnn O'Keefe of Omaha, NE.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM and on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (502 2nd Ave SE, Aberdeen, SD 57401).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her honor to Storybook Land and the Sportsman's Club of Brown County/Terry O'Keefe Education Center.
