He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Miriam Melick; his daughters, Nancy Torbert (David) of Bismarck, ND, Jeanne Hanson of Fergus Falls, MN and Patricia Ellingson (Dale); his grandchildren, James Torbert (Jessica), Jessica Hansen (Gary), Nicole Nelson (Eric), Ashley Raskie, Lindsey Kreuser and Brittany Rohwer (James); his sister Betty Maarsingh; and also Aberdeen.
