She was predeceased by: her parents, Leone Schmidt (James) and Charles Schmidt; her husbands, Adolf Bohling of John's Lutheran Church and John Shaw; her grandsons, Brook Karlen and Brandon Bohling; her stepson Dan Shaw (Zoann); her stepgrandson Justin Shaw; her sibling Bevan Schmidt (Charlotte); and her siblings-in-law, Harvey Bohling, Gordan Mack, Harry Linder, Margaret Schmidt and Gerry Schmidt.
She is survived by: her children, Deanna Bonn (Ron), Susan Heinz (Daniel) and Jerry Bohling (Vina); her grandchildren, Tammy Karlen (Darrell), Tonya Karlen, Kirk Karlen (Lori), Brent Bonn (Becky), Carey Heinz, Travis Heinz (Brenda), Jerit Heinz (Cathy), Chad Heinz (Elena), Sheila Heinz, Aaron Bohling (Kristen) and Karen Jung (Justin); her great grandchildren, Chase Talcott (Nicole), Chance Karlen (Dani), Shay Karlen, Carly Clare (Dominique), Kelsey Merges, Carson Maunu, Brody Karlen, Torrie Colvin (Nick), Hailey Bonn, Paige Bonn, Brook Bonn, Joey Miller (Cassondra), Jamie Adelman (DJ), Taylor Smith, Raelee Smith (Will), Grant Heinz (AJ), Kelsey Schuler (Kirsten), Connor Rumpca (Liz), Collin Rumpca (Skylar), Bradi Heinz, Austin Wageman, Brayson Bohling, Kaleb Bohling, Ethan Bohling, Jordan Jung and Morgan Jung; her stepson Alan Shaw (Anna); her stepgrandchildren, Matt Shaw, Chris Shaw (Bailey), Jamie Shaw and Brittany Young (Casey); and her siblings, Charlotte Bohling, Dialo Schmidt and Myrna Linder.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home (1111 S Main St, Aberdeen, SD 57401). A prayer was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church - Aberdeen (1620 Milwaukee Ave NE, Aberdeen, SD 57401).
