He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward P. Sime and Mabel Sime (Loken); and his siblings, Gladys Wilson, Lucille Palmer and Wesley Sime.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Wolter of Aberdeen; his children, Lynette Heitz (Harlan) of Mina and Larry Sime (Cindy) of Mina; his grandchildren, Ryan Sime (Tanya) and Taylor Sime of Aberdeen; his great grandchildren, Chloe and Simeon Sime; and his sister-in-law Jean Sime of Aberdeen.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be made to Aberdeen Christian School or the Christian Worship Hour.
