She was predeceased by: her parents, John Heier and Julia Heier (Harty); her son Chuck; her son-in-law John Gruenstein; her siblings, Leo Heier and Katie Kapperman; and her great great grandchild Marley Norton.
She is survived by: her husband John Rombs, Jr.; her daughter Peggy Gruenstein of Aberdeen; her daughter-in-law Sheila Rombs of Aberdeen; and her siblings, Albert Heier (Katherine) of Aberdeen, Eugene Heier (Betty) of Aberdeen, Larry Heier (Kora) of Oakes, ND, Lorenzia Oakes (Steve Sr.) of Aberdeen and Regina Reis (Carroll) of Aberdeen. She is also survived by six grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
