She was predeceased by: her son Steven Heckel; her parents, Paul Oberlander and Emma Oberlander; her husband Marlin Heckel; her brother Harold Oberlander; and her son-in-law Dan Cavanaugh.
She is survived by: her children, Sandi Cavanaugh, Ronald Heckel and Karen Thompson (David); her grandchildren, Danielle Cavanaugh, Nathan Cavanaugh, Matthew Cavanaugh (Carlye) and Nicole Cote (Alex); and her great grandchildren, Truman, Cozette Teichgraeber, Eleanor, Brolin Cavanaugh, Elizabeth and Gavin Cote.
