He is survived by: his parent Myrtle Merritt Heffner; his children, Melissa Heffner and Josh Heffner; and his siblings, Eunice Pursley, Vivian Clade Cathy Keiger (Bill) and Ronnie Heffner. He is also survived by several grandchildren, six nieces, three nephews, and a number of great nieces and nephews.
