He is survived by: his father Ernest Benfield, Sr.; his stepmother Shirley Benfield, Sr. of York, SC; his siblings, Ernest Benfield, Jr. of Clover, SC and Carol Marie Canipe of Florida; and his stepsiblings, Cindy McCarter, Lisa Wolfe and Teddy Horne.
