He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Thomas and Mary Lee Crowe Petty; his brother William "Bill" Petty; and his daughter-in-law Deborah "Deb" Osgood Petty. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Lynn Glicken Petty; his children, Raymond Donald Petty, Jr., Jane Petty DuBois (Robin Williamson) and Jennifer Petty Gifford (John); his stepsons, Mark Phillip Dunn and Adam Scott Dunn (Jayme); and his grandchildren, Jackson, Cole, Ivy Petty and Samuel DuBois.
