He was predeceased by: his parents, Isabell Gary (Brown) and Johnny, Sr. Gary. He is survived by: his son Johnny B. Gary III; his siblings, Glenn E. Gary, Raymie Gary, David Lee Gary, Ruby White, Rosa Crawford (Marshall), Katherine Frierson (Beary), Vera G. Lowry and Perry Gary (Clara); his godson Matthew Edwards; and his caregivers, Robert Witlock, Evelyn Burris, Clarissa Sanders and Vera G. Lowry. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gold Hill Baptist Church. A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
