He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Tom and Beatrice Marshall (Newberry); and his siblings, Terry Bruce Marshall and Lisa Marshall. He is survived by: his wife Donna Gail Mathis; his children, Timothy Joe Marshall (Emily) of Rock Hill, SC and Leigh Andrea Laney (Rick) of Knoxville, TN; his grandchildren, Bryant Laney, Rebeccah Moore (Tyler) and Brendan Laney; his great grandchildren, Ansel Laney, Cyrus, Carolina and Charlie Ann Moore; and his sisters, LaDonna Grissom of Missouri and Necia Maxfield (Robert) of Oklahoma.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Forest Hills Cemetery (4290 Old York Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lake Wylie Christian Assembly, National Aphasia Association or Parkinson's Disease Association.
