He is survived by: his son Christopher Bryon Carter of New London; his granddaughter Cleo Jane Carter of New London; his brothers, James David Carter and Richard Milo Carter (Jane Howard Carter); his son Jonathan Scott Carter; and his brother Paul Phillip Carter.
