He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Davis Meek and Epsice Lowe Hill Meek (Hill); and his siblings, George Meeks, Lawson Meeks, Donald "Bo" Meeks, Bonnie Meeks and Mannie Messer.

He is survived by: his wife Ruth Marlene Meek; and his children, Epsice "Gal" Knight, Billy Meeks, Charlie Childers, Michael Ramsey, Crystal Ramsey Miller, Jeffrey Ramsey and Travis Ramsey.
