He is survived by: his wife Sherrell Carter; his children, Chad Carter, Grant Carter, Heather Pate (Kenny), Travis Ferguson and Tammy Helms; and his sisters, Charlene Cunnup, Margaret Sue Ratterree and Linda Payne. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
