He was predeceased by: his parents, Clydie Newton and Lamar Newton; and his siblings, Edward, Ray, Kenneth Newton (Bucky) and Sue Seabrook.
He is survived by: his wife Marian; his children, Lieutenant Colonel and Rebecca Newton of Rock Hill; his grandchildren, Owen, Scott, Wrenn Blanchard and Rachel Newton; and his sister Janice Thurmond of Marietta, Georgia.. He is also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends.
