He is survived by: his parent Nannie Patterson Goforth; his children, Robert "Robbie" Goforth (Rae) of York and Mabel "Libby" Garris (Perry) of Charlotte; his sister Thelma Blanton of Shelby; his grandchildren, Michael Garris, Leslie Scott, Perry Garris Jr, Katie Ashe and Zachary Goforth; and his great grandchildren, Aaron Garris, Zane Ashe, Rylan Garris, Rebecca Scott, Skylar Ashe and Adalyn Goforth.
