He is survived by: his wife Garey Lynn Gibbs of Yemassee; his children, John Walter Gibbs Jr. (Kathryn) of Lexington and Lorrie Gibbs Cook of Beaufort; his sister Ann Gibbs Keltner of Gulf Breeze, Florida; his son-in-law Len Wilkerson of Chapin; his sister-in-law Marian Davis of Columbia; his grandchildren, Jordan Rye and Thomas Rye; his nephew Hunter Keltner; his niece Hannah Keltner; and his pet Dillon.
