It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Vera Goodman Flowers (Yemassee, South Carolina), born in Abbeville, Georgia, who passed away on September 25, 2019, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Ellison Goodman and Mattie Grace Sloman; her husband Wade Hampton Flowers Sr.; her son Wade Hampton Flowers Jr.; and her sisters, Margaret Pittman, Reba Aragon and Bonnie Carr.
She is survived by: her children, Gail Anderson Baker (Tony), Martinez, Georgia, Nora Anderson Broadwater (Mike), Fletcher Edward Flowers (Paula) and Karen Flowers Lambert (Doug); her grandchildren, Paul Stroupe, Steven Stroupe, Robin Broadwater Hensley (Troy), Chad Broadwater, Ryan Flowers Smith (Whit), Chase Flowers, Katy Brant Gourdin (Chris), Marlee Brant, Scott Lambert (Julie), Stephanie Lambert Meisner (Chad) and Savanna Lambert Prevatt; her brother James Goodman (Linda); her sister-in-law Janice Flowers (Bill); and her great grandchildren, Tony Baker, Doug Lambert, Cody Stroupe, Brandon Stroupe and Eason Donaldson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives.
Because of Vera's exceptional care during her final earthly days, the family would be honored to have donations made to Ogeechee Area Hospice, 200 Donehoo Street, Statesboro, Georgia 30458 in lieu of flowers.
