It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Wright of Yemassee, South Carolina, who passed away on September 5, 2020, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Cleveland Wright Sr. and Lovely Wright; her daughter Carleen S. Wright; and her siblings, Janet King, Cleo Wright, Willie Wright Sr., Herman Lee Wright and Jimmy Wright.
She is survived by: her husband Sam James; her daughters, Latisha Shontay Brown (Royce) and Shirley Ann Wright; her stepdaughter Charlena Edwards (Dorian); her siblings, Delores Wright, Solomon Wright (Shirley), Rev. Jake Wright (Rowena), Edgar Wright (Eva), Clyde Wright (Gloria) and Cleveland Wright Jr.; her grandchildren, Tymere Mills, Natisha Hairston, Ta'Naya Grooms, Ty Wright and Royce Brown Jr.; her stepgrandchildren, Shanequa Edwards, Jared Edwards and Jadon Edwards; her great grandchild Jayden Wright; and her niece Tammy Smith. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
