He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Compton and Helen Frances Taylor Compton. He is survived by: his wife Frances Toney Compton; his stepdaughter Kaye Cooper (Robert) of Enoree; his sons, Sid Compton (Leigh) of Boiling Springs and Jeffrey Compton of Inman; and his stepson Thomas Brown of Boiling Springs.
