For Richard is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, R. T. Hughes and Frances Smith Hughes; and his sister Debbie Hughes. He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Lawing (Ronnie) of Cross Anchor, Rhonda Hughes of Woodruff, Tracy Knight of Woodruff, Joy Rice of Enoree, Sharon Hughes (Robert Browning) of Woodruff, Karen Romain (Steven) of Woodruff and Chuck Hughes (Margaret) of Inman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel (257 N Main St, Woodruff, SC 29388).
