She was predeceased by: her son Kalan Owens; and her grandparents, Wilbert, Pauline Owens, Jennison and Verna Alkire.

She is survived by: her sons, Trasean Owens of Greenwood and Deon Hunter; her father Fred Owens (Linda) of Belpre, Ohio; her sisters, Anita Kaye Vaughan (Dennis) of Woodruff and Julie Dawn Reckline (Robert) of Mauldin; her stepsiblings, Kelly Farrah (Sam) of Maryville, Illinois, Eugene Steele (Deborah) of Brandon and David Steele (Beth) of Cutler, Ohio.; and her daughter Nicole Stanton.
