He is survived by: his children, Karley Marie Sams of Woodruff, Alyssa Kay Sams of Woodruff, Jayla Leigh Sams of Woodruff, Preston Lee Sams of Woodruff and Ricky McKaid Green of Gray Court; his grandson Camden Lee Petty of Woodruff; his former wife Kristina Hardin Sams; his half-siblings, David Sams, Barbara Garcia and Sheila Crocker; and his stepmother Joyce Wolfe.
