He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Cola and Mamie Goodwin Waddell; and his siblings, Debbie Hathcock and Eugene Cannon. He is survived by: his children, April Smith Hendrix (Arin) of Woodruff, Nikki Vickery (Jason) of Tarpon Springs, Florida and Kenny Waddell of Woodruff; his sister Susan Lyda (Curtis) of Woodruff; his grandchildren, Nicholas Blevins, Madison Cole and Conner Cole; and his children, Conner Cole, Pulse, Ministries C, Woodruff Church of God, P. O, Box and S. C..

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children (In honor of Conner Cole) 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, S.C. 29605 or Pulse Children's Ministries C/O Woodruff Church of God, P.O. Box 275, Woodruff, S.C. 29388.
