It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Wayne Mathis of Woodruff, South Carolina, born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, who passed away on January 2, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his son Phillip Mathis (Laura) of Boiling Springs; his siblings, Steve Mathis of Boiling Springs and Geraldine West of Gaffney; his grandchildren, Drew Mathis of Boiling Springs and Tiffany Bryant (Stewart) of Germany; and his great grandchild Lilly Grace Bryant.
