With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janet Sloan of Woodruff, South Carolina, born in Baltimore, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 26, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Janet leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Janet may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Oscar Volkman and Nellie O'Neale Volkman. She is survived by: her husband Robert Doyle Sloan; her daughters, Angela Lundberg (Paul) of Spartanburg and Misty Sloan of Woodruff; her siblings, Albert Volkman of Kingsport, Tennessee and Emma Betty Green of Dallas, Texas.; and her grandchildren, Kenneth Lucas Lundberg and Jennifer Alexandra Lundberg.
