He was predeceased by: his parents, John Vance Flanagan, Sr. and Martha Jane Erwin Flanagan; his daughter Donna Faye Smith; and his siblings, Leroy Flanagan, Woodrow Flanagan, Jackie Flanagan, John Vance Flanagan, Jr. (Pat) and Rosalee Flanagan.
He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Lyda Flanagan; his daughters, Marie Gunnells (Louis) and Karen Landers; his grandchildren, Kristi Sapp, Joseph Landers (Kelsey) and Nathan Kirk (Meagan); and his great grandchildren, Ryder, Delilah and Chloe.
