He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyrus Lamar and Juanita Calloway Brannon; his brothers, Robert "Bob" Brannon and Donald Brannon; and his sister-in-law Clarke Brannon.
He is survived by: his wife Sally Foster Brannon; his children, John Adam Brannon (Kent) and Ann-Margaret Brannon Somers; his grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Brannon, Jackson Brannon Somers, Caroline Calloway Brannon and Foster Sullivan Somers; and his sister Kathy Brannon Pearson (Steve).
