He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Albert Alonzo Simmons of Woodruff and Gayle Woody Simmons; his daughter Rebecca Martin (Thomas Jr.) of Laurens; his sister Connie Simmons Wilson (Lamar) of Spartanburg; his siblings-in-law, Ron and Donna Allen of Lenior City, Tennessee; his nieces and nephews, Doug Lawson, Lee Hawkins, Danielle Holt and Cole Wilson; and his great-niece Joanna Lawson.
