He was predeceased by: his parents, Posey Mack Nelson and Dorothy Mae Wright Nelson; and his son Danny Joe Nelson. He is survived by: his sister Shirley Rochester of Woodruff; his grandson Kevin Nelson; and his stepgrandson Kevin Leon Rice.
