Though Bennie Lewis may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Bennie Lewis touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Lewis Elmore and Julia Mae Brooks; and his wife Louise Jackson Elmore. He is survived by: his children, Shalawn Elmore of Greenville, SC and Andee Payne of Fostoria; and his siblings, Betty Smith of Spartanburg, Dorothy Pitts of Fostoria, Suzette Gilchrist of Toledo, Eva Mae Elmore and James Brooks of Gulfport, Mississippi..
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the W. J. Gist Memorial Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
