He was predeceased by: his siblings, H. E. Douglas, Jr. and Sara Wells; and his brother-in-law John Love. He is survived by: his wife Carole Love Douglas; his children, Gregg Douglas (Andrea) of Ridgeway, SC, Denise Dale (Alan) of Blythewood, SC and Lisa Noyes (Rick) of Pinehurst, NC.; his grandchildren, Hayden Dale, Alexander Douglas, Zoe Dale, Palmer Noyes, Jonathan Douglas and Sally Noyes; his siblings, Marion Douglas (Peach) of Belvedere, SC, Wallace S. Douglas (Jean), Mary Ann Hay of Ridgeway, SC and Evelyn Long (Ray) of Blythewood, SC.; and his sister-in-law Laura Martin (John) of St Matthews, SC.. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
