She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Rabb and Narsissie Rabb; her husband Joseph W. Pete; her grandson Thurman Pete, Jr.; and her children-in-law, Robert Wriston and Audrey Pete.
She is survived by: her children, Thurman Pete (late Audrey), Felicia Wriston (late Robert) and Anita Pete; her grandchildren, Sharise, Brandon, Jasmine Wriston, NyAisha Pete, Andre Pete and Aaron Porter; her siblings, Lorraine Cauthen (Harold), Ernestine Jenkins (Lawrence) and Willie Earl Rabb (Doris); her cousin Evelyn Armour; and her aunts, Margaret and Emma (Chambers). She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
